Well, the 15th has come and essentially gone with no big news unless DAL has an investment in that new pet only airline which will fly about as far as a cat launched off a catapult. What a joke that is. In an era of tight credit where legit business cannot get $$ for financing how in the heck does that business model get floated $$. I'd like to know the business school where those bankers went. When I saw former DAL CEO Ron Allen on Squawk Box this AM I thought good things were coming though all the pilots say he sucked as a CEO. But wait, theres hope. Before a earnings anouncement there is a "quiet period" where companies cannot typically break major news on corporate ops. This is not a actual written SEC rule but there are provisions in securities laws that lead people to be careful in how they handle certain types of information. The announcement, if there actually is one, will be released simultaneously with the earnings, err losses report next week.

Don't look for a BIG announcement on the 20th or 21st rumors are just that RUMORS, no credibility.

Hey guys quick question....

First of all, I am very impressed with the amount of knowledge that people have on this board. I spent almost 6 years at ASA and Delta for 1.5 years. I dont know how most of the stuff with the union works. I hear alot of complaining about the union, lack of transparency, lack of communication, people being shot down at LEC meetings. So finally my question....Is there anything that we as pilots and members of the union can do about it? I'm not talking revolt, in house union or asking anyone to step down. But you would think there is someone to call and say, "Hey guys..been kinda quiet...think you send out one of those update and not blow smoke up our @$$!!! I mean, we got an update everday for a while it seemed. I dont need page long descriptions, just let me know what we can do. I admit, I have not written my rep. The reason being, I dont see it doing any good. I just need some solid communication. ACL is great and all, but call me needy....I NEED MORE!!!!
