The committees of the MEC (generally there are three) are all of equal size and demographically equivalent. Committee assignments are generally done well in advance of the MEC meeting and are published with the advance agenda. Many of the council resolutions were received in the week prior to the March MEC meeting. The explanation given to you was factually incorrect, and was not how the committee operated.
