Let me preface by saying that I and most of the other folks on the front lines are really unhappy with how Expressjet is run.

RA cannot "Comair" Expressjet. He can try to "Freedom" us. And while that would be devastating to the ASA side of things, it would not have any effect on the United (north of 2/3 of the total operation) or American CPAs.

Except that I'll bet UAL and AMR have the same performance clauses in their contracts.

2nd is that the company has offered 2004 rates for FAR 117 relief.

Not sure how true either of these are. I heard them from a buddy who heard them from a jumpseater.

And to all the 88Bs white slipping I really appreciate it. I haven't had a day at home on reserve in a really long time. Heading out to the driving range.
2004 rates? Aren't those bankruptcy rates?

They've already broken that by hiring guys without degrees.

You are probably right but I thought we bought ASA when we bought Comair. And I thought ASA became Expressjet.

DAL bought ASA appx a year after Comair. ASA was sold to Skywest around 2006. When Skywest bought Express Jet, they merged the two wholly owns together (ASA & Expressjet) into ExpressJet

The question is whether or not they are detrimental to their operation, and whether or not they are interested in cutting them loose.

Man, I wish I hadn't looked. Probably the worst sked I've had in a loooong time. Time to start calibrating my PCS requests for the 20th...

Edit: Apparently I FAILED bidding again. I got what I asked for, but didn't ask for what I wanted. What a dumba$$
