Trip average per day the company posted was up 17 minutes with 117. Profit sharing went up not down. 2 percent more in 13 then 12.

Starting to think the hiring process is going to have to be tweaked a bit here and there to make it work long term. If we don't they're going to burn through quality candidates pretty quickly...with the help of AMR, LCC, and SWA.

All those WB capt jobs are they going to backfill WB FOs? I guess I should go read the letter that goes with it.

More disappointment for MSP! No vacancies and on top of that, they mention the plan to reduce the 7ER category with no plans of back filling

There will be "selective backfilling" of MSP, DTW, and NYC 7ER F/O's per the memo accompanying the bid.

IOW, maybe mabye not. (probably mostly in the "not" category), but that won't last long...

They said the WB's will all be done with mod lines in the conversion window so they have to start filling back up those big WB cats to accommodate higher block hour plans. (Like)

Pay their hotels and give them positive space and they would be beating down the doors. Lot's of highly experienced former whale instructors choosing to fly the line because of those 2 items..

I'd prefer pilots "on the fleet" also, but reality is vast majority don't want to work in the schoolhouse.

Heh, MSP is rapidly becoming the most coveted base among ultra-junior guys, with all the CP/XJ flows. In my class I think 3/4 of us were planning on commuting from MSP . Might be a good time for me to move somewhere that *doesn't* have 6 months of winter per year... .

On the positive side, I'll be at 50% seniority on NYC 88B pretty quickly if this AE is indicative of how many newhires they'll be sending there!
