How much of a paycut are you gonna take when the 747 bubbas pile on top of you?

And I am the one that is fighting those that want to stop insanity? You don't want to stop insanity, you want to preserve your little piece of Nirvana, and believe it or not, I get that... but you are fighting the tides of the ocean. You really should look at ways to leverage those tides, instead of living in the 1960s.

Clamp and Scambo,

In all honesty, I can see the contradiction in Clamps post. On the one hand he says "Who cares about what aircraft type?" But then in the very same post he says " However, this is top end jobs at DL being whisked away actively."

That, to me, says Clamp does care about what aircraft types are out there. Maybe I misinterpreted his post but that's the way it came across to me.

I want to stop the insanity first. I hope Heide's letter opened your eyes a little. Our union is fighting against us. Therein lies some of the insanity.

The 747 bubbas affected are going to exert pressure on all of us except the very top. I won't be displaced, but will likely move down a little. Nah I won't be executed, I'll just get chewed out. I've been chewed out before. If I'm displaced, I'll displace to a seat I've been contemplating bidding anyway. I am hopeful there was a rapid aircraft acquisition like I've heard about for 3-4 months now.

I've got to admit, the green slips have been a boon to me personally this year, but that's only one piece of the equation.

I read Clamps post as who cares if it's airbus or Boeing. He isn't naive enough to not care about top end scope.

Man I hear you GG. I fly a lot on us and other carriers. Buzzpat is right about American's product...it sucks. After our merger, Delta had the worst product out there. If I absolutely needed to be at a meeting, I avoided Delta at all costs. Now I fly on us almost exclusively because it's the best product of any US airline. But the one thing that drives me crazy is the sheer amount and length of PA's at Delta. It is so distracting that most do their best to tune them out. I wish we could improve on that.

Great movie line.

I guess I just want to structure our pay and compensation that takes "hope" out of the equation. Betting on the Come is not a good strategy imho. I didn't bet on the DB plan from day 1. It always felt like a house of cards to me. I'm not honking my own horn with that statement, it is just that I don't like "promises" that are dependent on the actions of others, and that take me completely out of the loop of control. Aircraft acquisitions/deployments fit perfectly into that paradigm. I don't like having 4 of my 5 cards showing, and only 1 of those that are making those decisions in a game that is very high stakes. To me, THAT is insanity.

And as an aside... yes I am watching FOX at the moment, but they just posted that the median household net worth has dropped 36% in the last 10 years...

Vote out the incumbents. ALL of them

How long does it usually take for the projected training list to come out after an AE results posting?
