Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Man I hear you GG. I fly a lot on us and other carriers. Buzzpat is right about American's product...it sucks. After our merger, Delta had the worst product out there. If I absolutely needed to be at a meeting, I avoided Delta at all costs. Now I fly on us almost exclusively because it's the best product of any US airline. But the one thing that drives me crazy is the sheer amount and length of PA's at Delta. It is so distracting that most do their best to tune them out. I wish we could improve on that.

I want to stop the insanity first. I hope Heide's letter opened your eyes a little. Our union is fighting against us. Therein lies some of the insanity.
The 747 bubbas affected are going to exert pressure on all of us except the very top. I won't be displaced, but will likely move down a little. Nah I won't be executed, I'll just get chewed out. I've been chewed out before. If I'm displaced, I'll displace to a seat I've been contemplating bidding anyway. I am hopeful there was a rapid aircraft acquisition like I've heard about for 3-4 months now.
I've got to admit, the green slips have been a boon to me personally this year, but that's only one piece of the equation.

I guess I just want to structure our pay and compensation that takes "hope" out of the equation. Betting on the Come is not a good strategy imho. I didn't bet on the DB plan from day 1. It always felt like a house of cards to me. I'm not honking my own horn with that statement, it is just that I don't like "promises" that are dependent on the actions of others, and that take me completely out of the loop of control. Aircraft acquisitions/deployments fit perfectly into that paradigm. I don't like having 4 of my 5 cards showing, and only 1 of those that are making those decisions in a game that is very high stakes. To me, THAT is insanity.
And as an aside... yes I am watching FOX at the moment, but they just posted that the median household net worth has dropped 36% in the last 10 years...

How long does it usually take for the projected training list to come out after an AE results posting?
It depends on how you measure it. Financially? Most definitely. But I am highly educated, have an unique, highly sought after skill set, and benefit from a contract that raised my compensation dramatically in the last 6 years. In 2008 I was a new hire making 60 an hour. Now I make twice that.
The average American does not have those advantages and has suffered greatly. The real unemployment rate is still double digits and some of those that are employed are working part time or multiple part time jobs. 92 million people aren't working in this country, 11.5 million more than in 2008. And the population has grown all those years.
As for T's point about the ACA, I, as a military retiree, am somewhat insulated from that fiasco, for now. But that is a liberty stealing fiscal suitcase nuke waiting to explode. Why do you think O has delayed and waived that law countless times?
Liberty wise, we are much less free than we were 6 years ago. I think the damage done to the Constitution and our previously limited government may never be undone. I blame both sides for that.

We can debate a lot of things. But, do you guys seriously doubt that this economy is better then the economy we had in 2008? Don't you remember what happened at the end of that year?
Great movie line.

I agree. From probably year 2 at dal, I thought and said the db should be in our individual names, not some pool for the group. A friend of mine who was the CEO of ge capital Europe asked me two years prior to bankruptcy "when is delta going to declare bankruptcy?" ALPA EF&A never mentioned that.
As a group we are disengaged. We do what we are told without further consideration...as a group. We defer to those who tell us what to do. This still goes on. That's insanity.
We pee away any leverage that falls in our lap and accept what is given to us. We get insulted and mismanaged and don't ask why. We are the only zero defect employee group.
It's not only about money, but it seems like money is all we seek. We don't enforce the contract we are required to live under. I don't get it and never will.
That's a loaded question. Tha answer is most certainly a loaded gun pointed straight at us. Financially, on an individual basis, I certainly am better than I was because our contract is better than it was 6 years ago. But the party in power has unleashed policy on this country (not only in the form of the "ACA") that will not truly be felt for several more years, and the damages of which will not be undone for generations.
This is from the list of non-incumbents to which ALPA PAC supported financially for candidates to win House and Senate seats:
