Man I hear you GG. I fly a lot on us and other carriers. Buzzpat is right about American's product...it sucks. After our merger, Delta had the worst product out there. If I absolutely needed to be at a meeting, I avoided Delta at all costs. Now I fly on us almost exclusively because it's the best product of any US airline. But the one thing that drives me crazy is the sheer amount and length of PA's at Delta. It is so distracting that most do their best to tune them out. I wish we could improve on that.

The 747 bubbas affected are going to exert pressure on all of us except the very top. I won't be displaced, but will likely move down a little. Nah I won't be executed, I'll just get chewed out. The average American does not have those advantages and has suffered greatly. The real unemployment rate is still double digits and some of those that are employed are working part time or multiple part time jobs. 92 million people aren't working in this country, 11.5 million more than in 2008. And the population has grown all those years.

As for T's point about the ACA, I, as a military retiree, am somewhat insulated from that fiasco, for now. But that is a liberty stealing fiscal suitcase nuke waiting to explode. Why do you think O has delayed and waived that law countless times?

Liberty wise, we are much less free than we were 6 years ago. I think the damage done to the Constitution and our previously limited government may never be undone. I blame both sides for that.

I guess I just want to structure our pay and compensation that takes "hope" out of the equation. Betting on the Come is not a good strategy imho. I didn't bet on the DB plan from day 1. It always felt like a house of cards to me. I'm not honking my own horn with that statement, it is just that I don't like "promises" that are dependent on the actions of others, and that take me completely out of the loop of control. Aircraft acquisitions/deployments fit perfectly into that paradigm. I don't like having 4 of my 5 cards showing, and only 1 of those that are making those decisions in a game that is very high stakes. To me, THAT is insanity.
