Actually the weak sauce here is the "complacent mindset(as personified by you)..."
MEC Chair and Vice need to be elected by MEMRAT. That would keep the alter agenda types out.

It is not test flying really, but as a company researches to order or not a certain type the project pilots will be invited to observe some testing, take notes and report to their companies. Occasionally they might even touch the controls and take a couple of selfies.

Better familiarity for airlines and good will and openness from manufacturers.

I've been looking at the "Projected Category" list vs. the "Forecast Staffing 22D2 Report." For December 2014, it appears that there will be a little growth in the LAX and SLC 737 categories but is that offset by the dramatic reduction of ER numbers?

LAX projected 176 B ER pilots but the forecast calls for only 145 come December. For SLC, it's 93 B ER pilots and forecast for only 76.

Does that mean ER displacements are eminent?

How much water do these reports hold? Am I simply freaking myself out for no reason?

And that took real skill, since back in those days the Grand Canyon was only a couple hundred feet deep.

Does the G/S trigger apply to reserves? How does it work? And if you have something like a leave that decreases your overall credit as a reserve and the trigger is about 20 hours higher, does that mean you won't get green slip pay on reserve until you fly more than the trigger?

The trigger does not apply to reserves.
Reserve green slips are single pay no credit paid on top of the guarantee.

Near liquidation to buying back stock at 2B plus, not a bad swing.
