So the 717 could go to NYC, it could go west, but it won't do both.

BTW, talked to a mechanic the other day about the 717. He said they (line mechanics) have been happy with the 717s. I joked I guess it's better than the MD-90s. If you want to see a mechanic go nuts, mention the MD-90. And he went nuts.

Then he said, but actually the 739s are worse. He said they're having a lot of problems with it and the interior not holding up.

True?

how about every month you work (i.e. flew the line, sat reserve or worked as an sli) (sup and FPL do not count) you get 1 day of pay at the ADG. By the end of the year if you worked every month you get 63 hours of pay.

Thoughts? I pulled that one right out of the ole' bottom.

Maybe not initially, but I'm not sure that the losing coast should go all "Brazil" and weep uncontrollably. They say the airplane can't support 4 bases. I think they mean not right away. We had 73N's in ATL, NYC, CVG, SLC, and LAX with 75 737-800's, pre-merger, if I'm not mistaken.

88 717's can't support 4 bases? I don't think so.

SEA 717 A would be a terrible job. Nobody bid it. Lets show 'em!

... who took pictures of me eating lunch during a scheduled 39 minute turn?

Profit sharing is a gamble plain and simple. Profit sharing also does not compound. The last contract the 4 percent signing bonus combined with the 8.5 raise gave us 12.8 increase in hourly wages. Historically profit sharing has been a very bad gamble in the airline industry.

Can anyone shed some light on 3rd party applications or software that can help Delta pilots with iCrew or bidding? I've heard small things of icrewmax and easy bid, but was hoping someone would post reviews and/or information about other software worth checking out.

Thanks

Let's get it on the record now, and launch an offensive. I'm tired of the company taking the initiative and DALPA always reacting/caught a step behind.

I guess I disagree with the premise that we "aren't offering anything." First, we should note that most guys on the property contributed very heavily when times were bad. That loan is due. There is no reason to give more now.

What we have to "offer" is labor peace. RA relies heavily on the perception that Delta is above labor strife. It's a big part of his move to make Delta an "investment grade" organization. If picketing starts and things get messy, investors--already gunshy about airline stocks--will bolt.
I would like to see these things too. I am also tired of reactionary strategy. How about we try something different by forcing the Bandit to react to us?

I'm checking the mail every day for the luggage tags that say "Get R Done" from national.
