You lose any remaining credibility when you post stuff that defies common sense.

Although I guess your analysis is actually excellent news.
If you're right, then the company shouldn't have a problem reversing all those changes since none of them have worked.
Is it your contention that the block hour increases combined with the hiring show a loss of jobs? Again the block hours are posted monthly by crew resources.
How do you explain that a 3.3 percent increase in block hours has created almost 900 CA bids and over 600 now trained and flying the line. Do you believe those numbers make sense given a large loss of jobs in the contract?

Thanks for responding,

I doubt the company has even started on a dream sheet. They are in the middle of the VA agreement. When it's done then they will move on to the contract.

That is where I truly believe you are mistaken.

They are always two to three moves ahead.

Remember BK? That was a well planned play book that achieved the ultimate goal, self termination of our retirement.

DO it once and do it right.

Ring any bells?.

How about their multiple bites at the apple that were later obviously unnecessary.

Trust that they are. to only positioned for this contract, but the next one as well.

As a new hire A320 guy trying to get to SLC.... How low down on the seniority list do you think those SLC 320s will go? And I'll assume it'll be reserve for a long time to come for those at the bottom of that list?

I'm guessing it hits about 11,200 on seniority list.

Heck, throw your name in the ring. Stranger things have happened, and with all the captain jobs on this AE, you never know. Ever time a bid gets processed it's interesting to see what people do. If you live in SLC, reserve won't be that bad. Hope it works out for you!

All I saw during that time period was a inept management reacting to events in the wrong way. Their sole focus was trying to keep the airline out of chapter 11 to preserve their precious stock options and jobs. They failed at both.

With the LAX, SEA, and SLC CA positions I think we will be surprised how junior it will go. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the 14 hires sneak in on it. The ER in SLC is already in the 11,000's. in 2007 they had unfilled positions in SLC on the 90 and guys were getting SLC in class. Most of the North guys who wanted in have made it. Other than about a dozen displaced guys, there may not be as many guys waiting to get in here as you think.

I'm tossing around the idea of throwing in a SEA 330 bid. How junior do you guys think that will go on the B side?

Anyone on here commute to reserve on the 330 in SEA? Wondering how that works out with the departures they have and hotels vs. crashpads for a reserve guy.
