Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Hey everyone I have a question regarding travel with kids. Do we need to bring a birth certificate or any form of identification? My son is 4 and we will be heading out tomorrow. With all this anti-human trafficking business was just wondering what if anything I need, especially going through security.
Internationally, a passport is just the best thing. I think Mexico is the only country that requires more documentation if you're traveling alone with your kids, but really you should do your own research. You'll be the one explaining at the immigration in some country if the facts are different, not me!

Seen the new flight crew bulletin just out today, r.e. flight dispatch release?
You now -WILL- sign it at the desk, before you get on the jet....
Can't wait for the fun and games to begin!

Hey DW....
Just ignore the whole thing...
Take everything that you hate/dislike/don't understand about the mighty maddog............
And it's fixed and works great on the Boeing...
Other than that it flies like a real airplane with hydraulic actuators not tabs!
Oh....except for the engines....N1 or N2 modes might give you a little trouble!
And you can go above fl370.....................

Virgin crews can fly 9:30 2 man so yes one less pilot needed for Atl as opposed to Lax. Bases now are two theater bases and Lax has PAC and SA, so no Europe love for them. AFAIK.

Edit:
Partially withdrawn.
Says signing automatically accepts 2-hr FDP extension. I thought the FAA had disallowed that?

This seems like a recipe to me for problems where the door is going to get closed without us first getting what we need or giving our concurrence with closing it.

I just don't understand what it is they are trying to accomplish with this. Maybe it's different on other airplanes? On the 88, the agent has to come within a few feet of the cockpit when the door is closed anyway. If the agent has to deliver the updated weather, etc. to us anyway, then how does signing the release and leaving it at the gate save any time as opposed to just handing it to the agent when he/she hands us the updated wx, etc.???

I'm gonna agree completely. Flt Ops mgmt would probably call it a "trigger" although I've used it as a reminder. I stick the FDRA between the throttles as a "last chance" reminder to check for stuff. This is another change, just like the beacon/brake release/transponder stuff, that puts US at higher risk so DAL can save a minute of OUR paycheck. I'm pretty POed again and told CASC as much. I'll bet a nickel ALPA was not asked. OFG
