Agreed. So, you've increase vacation, training pay, etc. using zero negotiating capital and giving up zero staffing. You're now left with that much more negotiating capital with which to achieve higher pay rates.

While we may or may not feel it to be appropriate to pay these aircraft all the same, isn't doing so banding the pay on those aircraft together?

The differential would be efficiency of filling up for the pilots. Similar seats, speed, etc. should pay similarly. Similar types should be banded. The 747 should pay a lot more than the 777, the 73n should pay similarly to the md90, 320.

The 330, 777, 765 should be pretty close in hourly pay.

Dude, quit squirming for crumbs.
We once had a 9 month freeze actually. It then went to 1 year and then I believe 3 in the 1113 contract and now back to two. No crumbs needed here just a bit of common sense. Trying to compare a freeze length in a contract with pay banding verses our contract is just stupid.

I may be ADD, but I can see a correlation between freeze length and pay banding. I don't like it, but if can see it.

Quick scheduling question. I have 2 weeks of December vacation, not over Christmas. If I pick up a carry in trip that puts me above the low end of the LCW will it still force a trip over Christmas on me? The example would be a 5 day trip that carrys in 24 hours and puts me at 69.5 for the month if that is above the minimum of the LCW will I get Christmas off?

If there is a trip that will fit within the line construction window............watch out!

As SF said, if you put in negative preferences to avoid all the trips that would fit, you should be okay.

If you put a negative preference in to block that it will not add a trip if you are in the window you will be schedule complete.
