Thanks to all of you who chimed in and answered my question. If I can do that, I'm going to bid reserve next month. The guarantee is 80 hours. It seems like the way to go with a week of vacation. Thanks again!

I wonder which category has the oldest people on average?

I'll go look it up, in a book.

Speaking of which....I've got 2 weeks vacation in December, so I'm thinking I should definitely bid reserve. Something about getting more credit per reserve day during a vacation month.

I'm always worried that I'm going to burn my self somehow.

It's actually the higher value of a vacation day that makes reserve pay better (all things equal) in a vacation month.

Looks like the bid packages for the 717 were pulled and time is being added. Hope they come up with better trips. Ah never mind, just ATL and DTW 717. NY is still screwed.
