Those displacements will never find there way down to the 717 or even close. Note they added FO's to the 747.

On to west coast AE news, only 3 of the 10 LAX 737 slots were filled, two by Oct hires. You will see LAX in a near future class drop.

Cheers

For me, the Silver HSA is a slam dunk...for others it very well may not be. We must really be very lucky because with 6 of us we have never even come close to even an individual deductible other than when my wife hit it for having kids. And she hauls the kids into the doctor quite a bit so it must just be major catastrophes that people have I guess.

I only go to the doctor for my FAA medical or if someone has called 911 because I'm unconscious.......well until this year since I have to go to get the dang HSA dollars.
What biometric stuff are we talking about? The ONLY thing I ever do that they will ever see is the FAA medicals. I'm not jumping through any other hoops except maybe the no tobacco survey to get their little $500 credit or whatever.

Other than volunteering extra info on your own to get a few bucks, what other additional biometrics would they ever get?

I think that is his point. Didn't it used to be that the HRA was funded a certain amount by the company without doing any of this biometric stuff. Now if you don't do it then you don't get the money. For some reason $1,500 sticks in my head.

I thought it was only $500 but not sure. I thought you get some for your FAA medical anyway and a little more for a no tobacco verification. The rest were for the extra nark tests no one should ever do. In any case I was just wondering about the HSA's, as I have no interest in the HRA. Doing any extra on the record potentially career changing/ending biometrics regardless of percieved risk just for a few hundred bucks credit on your insurace is well past the risk:reward fulcrum IMHO. They can keep their couple hundred bucks.

I wouldn't get too excited about layovers, 95% were day turns, non-commutable and a "birdy" told me to expect more of the same. Hopefully not true

LAX 73nB no movement except for 3 newbs in at the bottom.

SLC 73nB only got one additional guy, that's about 45 unfilled postings now. Wish some of those spots would start showing up filled with new guys on the monthly category lists, but it's been 5 months now and they're not actually assigning in guys or increasing the category... it was just a bogus taunt, again.

There were several senior FOs who made Capt, but they were only backfilled +1; still, good news!

Awesome to see 2007 guys make Capt in NYC, hope they knew what they were getting into.

New categories always have bad trips and weird schedules. A few months and the trips probably improve a lot.

Probably because they need bodies more for NYC. If they ever catch up we'll see them fill the slots with newbies.
