Good luck, E
That is 25 for the initial bid in SEA. I think they said they would grow it to 50 crews in 2015.

Time card still shows 11:56 of reserve guarantee.

It's not predicated on Reserve Guarantee is it?

Also, do I need to call and request to be shown FULL, or will they do it automatically?

Thanks!
ALV + 15 is now the max (C2012) I believe.

Thanks. I just thought that was only if you were under the ALV they could fly you to ALV + 15. I'm a reserve idiot since I never do it.

I guess a better way to ask my question would be:

Is Vacation Pay and Credit? Can't find that in the contract.

Thanks again.

You are FULL when you reach YOUR reserve guarantee. In a normal month (no VTS or other pre-award) it is ALV-2, but never less than 72 nor more than 80.

In your case, you have vacation so your reserve guarantee will be adjusted down accordingly. Again, you are full once your monthly credit is equal to, or exceeds YOUR reserve guarantee for the month. However, if you are even 1 minute under your guarantee they can assign you a trip not to exceed ALV+15.

Yes it is. When your reserve guarantee shows zero, you are full. If it doesn't show FULL automatically, call sched.

EDIT: wish I knew the banking thing before, I flew over a couple X-days during OE and got PB days. The "problem" was the PB days were on reserve days I wasn't going to fly anyway because I was still in OE. Had I known then what I know now I would've banked those two suckers for some freebies later on. Oh well...

EDIT 2: Is there a way I can check on my current ranking of a new category and see my progress towards getting in? I bid the 73N in SEA but other than the general "that will go way senior to you" comments I've already received, I really don't know where I stand.

That display is not very useful at all for trying to get an idea of whether or not you might get a bid.

As sailingfun mentioned, it does not reflect any restrictions a pilot may have placed on his/her bid like a low %, Reg Only, etc. You really have no idea how many of the senior bidders have realistic bids that might actually get awarded.

Also, once you get beyond those who have it listed as their first choice, the info is useless without first knowing what the higher choices are for the pilot. As a purely hypothetical example, you have 2 pilots at the same seniority level of 50% of the seniority list and both have bid ATL 7ER B as their 2nd preference. One of the pilot's first bid is unrestricted for ATL M88 A, which is a realistic bid that he/she would likely get at their seniority level taking the 2nd preference out of play. The other pilot's first preference is ATL 777 A, which he/she is not likely to get and therefore that pilot's 2nd preference is the first one he/she would likely be awarded depending on any restrictions he/she placed on the bid.

The final kicker is that every single pilot can change their bid right up until the bid closes so everything you were looking at could be altered.

At the end of the day, you are far better served by not wasting any of your time worrying about what someone else might have bid or what someone else might get awarded and only focus on what you want and what you are willing to accept (think restrictions). Once you reflect on that and determine what you truly want, then bid exactly that. If you don't get awarded something it will only be because you didn't want it, you couldn't hold it, you couldn't hold it with the restrictions you needed to be happy with the award or it simply wasn't available. Whether or not Joe Schmuckatelly is going to get it is irrelevant.

I recognize we are often trying plan out things like moves, etc and this adds a level of desire to try to read the tea leaves so we can plan those life events. Unfortunately, there is not a decent way to do that currently.
