Surface RT does not have some of the BT drivers to work with popular and common devices, but is (best I can tell) an Windows RT issue.

The objection (again, to the best of my knowledge) was at the FAA level. The FAA's concern is, IMHO, legitimate without the proper equipment. My guess is the feature set will grow, along with the requirements for accuracy and standardized usage.

I've seen a several Surface tablets linked to the Bad Elf GPS units, via bluetooth, and I've had my Surface bluetooth linked to my cell ph. gps via an app I got for my phone. Both worked fine...in my car of course.

There is a tab you have to find and enable the moving map/gps info in the Surface settings however.

Interesting AE for MSP. MSP M88B and 320B shrunk by 8 apiece as they didn't backfill a single spot. Meanwhile they backfilled all 14 MSP 7ERB slots...and that category is now 500 numbers junior to the Mad Dog and Airbus! Who knew the 7ER was the newhire's quick ticket back to MSP! :D

On DTW 7ERB 16 bid off and none of them were replaced. I think MSP is scheduled for a MSP-HNL on the ER late this year, that's why. They'll need the augmentation.

Survey: Promoting FO's to Captains

Dear colleagues,

I hope you are doing well.

I am asking your attention for the following.

I am currently writing a thesis for an MSc in Air Transport Management at the City University in London.
Could you please help me by filling out a short survey and send the survey-link below to your (professional) pilot-colleagues?

The target group of this survey is: professional pilots.

This survey supports an MSc study into promotions of First Officers to Captains in the aviation industry. The study contains a research into alternative promotion methods for seniority (only) based promotion systems.

The survey can be accessed via the following link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/promotingpilots

Filling in the survey will take only 5-10 minutes of your time.

I thank you in advance for your cooperation, your help is much appreciated.

With kind regards,

Olle van Zweden

I was hoping we could Bluetooth each other and play some one-on-one games during the crossings...LOL.

Baja.

Does the AE award show what went unfilled or will that require a new AE to be posted? Just curious what the next few new hire classes might expect.

Lots of 7er. All other narrow bodies will also have slots but the 7er should be half of them. This will continue into APR after which you will see a shift back to the smaller stuff.

The legal standard to fire someone is the same union or non Union. With a union they pay to represent you. Non union you have to hire a attorney. Over the years I have sadly been involved in issues that I thought for sure would mean immediate termination. Everyone got their job back. Delta has a very extensive set of rules for terminating a employee who is non union including a peer review. There are multiple cross checks.

Unless Delta does it differently, aren't you are missing one very important distinction?
