Really? Give me an example that will be germane to this airline at this time. Be careful how many suppositions you make too. You did say simple.

Thanks
At this point in time this is nothing but emotional supposition.

If you're in category, an AE preference for your current category is a waste. A voluntary displacement might be more what you want or a simple AE back to your old base.
Not correct Scambo,

Boog, you have it correct. If you are at 50% in ATL, the AE will stop processing and keep you in current category. Ref 22.D.8a.

You really like the word supposition don't you? Was it on your word of the day calendar?

Saying that we won't notice the effect of less staffing due to pay banding because of retirements is the same as saying all those who will upgrade during this contract should be fine taking a 3/3/3/3 deal because they will be getting a 40% raise when they upgrade anyways.

Stupid way to argue that pay banding is a good thing.

This is incorrect. First call DALPA or post on the contract forum about major items that can have a big impact to make sure you have a correct answer.
You can however bid your current category at a percentage and then put other bids behind it. You can even bid your current category multiple times at different percentages and layer in other choices. If your first choice is ATL 73N at 50% and you will be above that level it will disregard the other bids. If you fall below that level it will move to the next bid.

Speaking of percentages, at what percentage would one have to be in order to get the majority of holidays off on a nb cat? For example would 50% in NYC be substantially better in terms of time and holidays off vs 80% in ATL? Or would one have to be nearer to the top regardless?

I think we can go to at least 90 now

Could you live until 1000 years old? Someone probably will

Fair enough....you haven't said that it is a good thing.

I just wanted to give you a bad time for using big fancy words......some of us are not that smart.
