I have a question for those who are more contract savvy than I…
I had a standing (all month) in-base G/S request submitted for my base, (ATL). There were two G/S trips assigned for tomorrow which I am legal for, but which had an award code assigned of "H", which is out of base and/or instructor assignment. Shouldn't at least one of those trips been assigned to an in-base G/S, prior to being assigned to an "H" category? Thanks.

Disregard. I was not legal for the trip. FAR 117 rest conflict. That's just wrong….Big Fat G/S comes up, and I'm not good for it due to lack of rest. Gimme a break. It is embarrassing to tell you how long it's been since I've flown. Put it this way, my last activity was bounces in the sim. On the plus side, I've had time to floor my attic.

I missed one last year due to passport renewal. The sched even awarded me an international out and back GS.... I thought "huh, maybe just a turn is ok?
Nope! Called me back 10 minutes later and took the lollipop from my hand.
Nuts how that works out when you're on rsv, isn't it?

Especially schedulers. And 777 Captains... boy let me tell you.

I think you captured how younger girls might perceive me, Elliott. In my mind, I'm like filming a white version of the Old Spice commercial, when I walk into a room, but invariably young girls look at me more like your picture. Your very disturbing picture.
It's OK, I married above my station, so I don't need them. Besides I have a secret that I know would make them weak at the knees, if I only let them know:
I'm a pilot.

Ok, so I may be in Europe before CQ next month. Can I "Company travel," positive space, one leg to ATL from Spain to attend CQ? I'd rather spend an extra day or two over there vs. non-rev'ing back to the West Coast only to have to travel back to ATL once I get to there.
Gracias!

I've been looking into this recently too and everything I've been able to find refers to domestic/Hawaii stations. I'd be curious to see the contract reference that says ANY company station. I've dug around and haven't been able to find it.

That depends if you're coming back from MAD on the 8th! :-)

1. A pilot will receive positive space coach on-line transportation to travel between the training location and any Company station before and after training and during each duty-free period of 48 hours or more, if sales are authorized at the time of his attempted booking.
11-23
2. A pilot may book travel as Company Business under Section 11 I. 1. in TravelNet at any time after his notification of training, if overbooking is not required. Note one: If overbooking is required at the time of his attempted booking, a pilot may coordinate with Flight Training Planning to book positive space travel on the pilot's desired flight, if sales are authorized at the time of booking. If sales are not authorized, Flight Training Planning will book positive space travel between the pilot's base and the training location, upon the pilot's request.
The booking however will be a coach booking. You will upgrade ahead of all non revs as a PSUP.

The original "Airport" is starting on TCM right now. If you need a few good chuckles this afternoon.
