I will go further. You are correct, I am out of my league talking about the DB termination. It is not something that is worth my further study. What I do study and make my focus is an argument against ever having another one again. (How is that for unbiased honesty)

I've said it many times in the past- DALPA does a lot of things extremely well. But does that remove any responsibility of screwups? Absolutely not.

The people on this forum are at least thinking about this stuff, right? ALPA bashers or not, they are very informed, and that is great compared to the majority who know very little of what the issues are. We're in complete agreement on that, my friend. But weren't you one of the guys a few dozen pages ago recommending we look into possibly reinstating the DB just so the old guys would retire? If not, then I'm wrong on that. In any event, I think any type of reinstitution of a DB, regardless of who holds/manages it, is a bad idea. Glad we agree.
