Buzzpat:

Do what LUV-Sled recommend. Oooo, that sounds... ;-)

Consider taking the Express train from LHR to Paddington Station. Non-stop, unlike the Tube, which has many, plus YOU can ask for the travel industry discount...with your airline ID. (For you only, unless your wife has on too.)

Anyhow, look into going to Windsor Castle; walk where the royals have/do and see where many are buried. At St Paul's, try climbing to the top of the dome. Great view, and it shouldn't be too hot that time of very.

Have Fun, and CHEERS!

P.S. If you're into James Bond and martinis, look into Dukes Bar, near St. James Palace; Ian Fleming was a frequent patron, and coined "Shaken, not stirred" while there.

On more general terms, any good advice on bidding during vacation months? Better to have a line or reserve?

Thanks

You cannot fly on vacation. The majority of us hope it stays that way forever. Don't be greedy. If you could, we would need a lot less pilots.

Sputnick,

FYI. There are two times that you can not pick up/fly:

1. Any day that shows vacation.
2. Any day that an APD touches.

For example, you can drop a full 4 day trip by using your APD on day 1 only and then you could pick up/fly on days 2-4 but not on day 1.

But if you dropped the same 4 day trip by using your APD for all 4 days you would not be able to pick up/fly on any of the 4 days.

Scoop :)

is it just me or is the latest AE really stalling? Last update last month was that it would come out late July/Aug time frame.

Let's go plead our case of persecution over a TA that provides industry leading pay, a good profit sharing plan, best in the industry sick leave per year, better than average verification requirements, the best disability program, good workrules, and shifting of DCI flying to mainline and 600 new jobs.

Hurt? Right.

i love this logic on the sick policy spin they used. They jump on the best in the industry sick leave line because its a good sound bite, nice spin.... The hours available if needed, is a good amount of hours. HOWEVER, if you use those hours at or above the 15 days, suddenly you're guilty until proven innocent and an "Abuser"....

Yes, industry leading sick leave--just don't use it!
