Finally saw the WWII in HD on the History Channel today, it is very good just like everyone said. I was a WWII buff for many years so the ER to me was awesome to finally start seeing Paris, London and the European country side myself.

You know what else was awesome on there, when they showed the color film of DC-9s coming down the production line. That is awesome that they were able to find some color film from back then! :D

YouTube - Ozark Air Lines DC-9 Commercial 1966

Knew, I'm SORRY, I couldn't resist. Really sorry. you can throw your shoe at me later! And for the record, if the 9 comes to ATL I'll gladly fly it so I say what I say in love. And I mean that, it took a year or so but I've come around to love everything about that jets existence. :D

I'm sorry forgot,

If you leave this tread to go to to bathroom, it seems like you miss five pages. It must have got lost in the shuffle.

Holy moly! That video lets you know just how old that airplane is. Not quite the 1940's vintage, but close. If you're flying the -88, I think you are close enough to the family to jest with love. But, if you want to fly the DC-9, come on! It's still a blast.

If you like the WWII stuff, I don't know if you've done the Asia stuff, but there is LOTS of stuff over there. Saipan has stuff all over the island and a real Japaneese Zero about 100 yards from the shore next to the layover hotel. It's about 50 feet deep.

I'll have to knock the next one out of the park. I'll keep my shoes on, too. :D

Great clip! A little soft jazz to set the mood.... Some soft focus shots lingering over the sexy tail... Love how the camera follows all the good curves.... All the expected "action shots"... One criticism though... A few too many "up the poopchute" extreme closeups, (and what's that one shot with all the black stuff coming out the backside???) but all in all a good little video....

Wait... Am I on the right forum?

I know you do. It is ok to disagree. We do not want everyone working for the pilots to always agree. That in the end would be bad for the group!

Unity is occasionally confused with unanimity. The Road to Abilene was unanimous. Unity is a good thing if it is truly a consensus, not used to as a flag to wrap oneself or ones agenda in as a way to avoid controversial topics that threaten the success of said agenda. Of course I am being divisive for suggesting this.....

As far as the personal disagreement, that's a private matter between me and one of the candidates. I know that it's unimaginable to the group here, but there are several people that don't get along very well with me yet still do a very effective job....:D

A candidate of 44, or another Council?

Effectiveness is what matter is the end.

Are you sure it is not a professional disagreement, that you took personally?

With a twisted comment like that? Yes, yes you are on the right forum. :D

Ya can look the agreement up on line...I gotta go fly. HND was the Tokyo airport when the 1947 agreement was signed,,,so yes it applies to ANY Japanese airport. Northwest, Pan Am and Flying Tigers were allowed to pick up Originating Pax/Cargo and fly them to foreign destinations.....

And yes apparently it is 4 T/O slots to be divided among all US carriers. Another reason not to buy off on this silly JV. 4 slots does not change the competitive picture of Japan. Let's not give up our 5th freedom rights for a new bilateral.
