Remember too that all trip credit flows to the last day of the trip so all you'd get paid for notionally is the day/s in OCT.
Do yourself a favor and get easy swap. You need to spend the $10/mo for flightline, but it's tax deductible and you get open time trip alerts to boot.
You can literally sort and send 200 blind "bid package" trip swaps in 5 minutes.
I never use * for swaps... way too much chance of getting a terrible trip.

I feel like an 80 year old on his first smarthphone trying to deal with Icrew. Is this flightline more user friendly? That alone might be worth the fee.
[QUOTE=full of luv;1996160]I believe cub is right. If you took a GS in OCT that spilled you might have a case where you could recover your X days but as I understand it the PB days will just go to your next on duty days so at the beginning of the month probably not much benefit except like cub said in that you would get credit towards your mins for NOV.

Thanks, hockey. I was reading it wrong and holding on to hope. Now I understand how to use the CSSN function on Navtech. Time to find a better Thansgiving layover in open time. Ugh.
Thanks Cub and LUV. I called CS and they confirmed your answers.

Flightline trip alerts and, to a lesser extent, easy swap gives me more time off and tens of thousands of dollars more per year.
So is it worth ten bucks per month.... um, yes?

. Mind sharing strategies to make a new guy a little less dumb on iScrew? PM or reply would be awesome.
Really? I've only been here a year and have already been worked into my X days. Had one day of reserve on the last day of the bid month (didn't bid for that) and a line the next month. Was awarded a 4 day on my one day reserve block. I will always drop a golden day at the end of my reserve blocks, if able.

There are provisions for schedule changes regarding spill trips, and this may be what happened to you, but a golden day wouldn't have helped you in this case.

CD, I don't really understand this. If you had a RES day (one day on call at the end of the month), and a REG line the following month, how did the company violate your XX day's? You don't have XX days with a line, and therefore don't bid golden days during REG months. How would a golden day have helped you in this scenario on your last day on call? With the exception of REROUTE, you don't ever have to fly on your off days. There are many ways around that.

The main reason I always drop a golden day at the end of reserve block is for the auto release at noon. While it may never be an issue, it can't hurt to have it there.
