Yeah, but what about the Delta family!

Zero gain. All 15 will come from DTW and ATL. No backfill.

We have the most idiotic swap with pot rules ever at Delta. That is all.

More detail, or it didn't happen.

During the PBS bid award process, a swap involving a rotation that contains any duty period, or portion thereof, that is within the last six days of the current bid period will not be granted.

Why does swapping a trip that operates from the 22nd to the 26th for another trip operating the same days need to not be granted during the bid award process? It will have absolutely no effect on the next months bid. Dumb.

I get a trip that goes into the transition period, but why one that operates the 22nd to 26th?

We all have at least one family member who doesn't quite fit in at the dinner table around the holidays. Dinner tastes better if they aren't invited.

It is probably due to the potential for a 117 violation for flight or duty time limits. Even if the trip is on the same days, a change in flight time or duty time, or even duty completion time, can have an effect on which pairings can be awarded in the next month. Just a guess.

Correct. It used to be that you could not WS either. Now you can due to a side letter a few years ago (that is now part of the contract). Perhaps some inputs to your reps might make the ability to conduct a swap during this period a contractual priority?

Try to swap.....should be all the detail you need.

Unless you are picking up an extra day, it's next to impossible most of the time. I foresee this being rather constant in the years ahead with the tight staffing we have have/will have.
