I just saw one of the most beautiful greenslips I've ever seen.
3-day GS. 1 leg to overnight. 30 hour layover. Double deadhead home. However, you could just iron man it (and I think they did) it back on first flight of the morning. 31.5 hours of pay on 1 leg and gone less than 12 hours.
That's how scheduling could get some trips covered when a 2-day GS just isn't enough. I've got a 1 leg trip....... I'll give you 30 hours at the hotel and a deadhead wink wink home.

Anyone know when a new-hire can be awarded new equipment? I know there is a 1 year seat lock (probably going to be 2 yrs with next TA) and can have a standing bid in. When will the company award a new position on an AE? Can they be awarded something within their first year if it completes training outside of that year?
Thanks.
Thanks.

"AE Bidding – “My first year seat lock expires 16 March 2016. Am I allowed to bid a new aircraft on this
current Nov AE or does the entire conversion window have to take place after my seat lock expires?”
- The first conversion date must be after your one year lock ends.
I'll find the exact reference, but from memory, the "First Conversion Date" on any Advanced Entitlement (i.e. 08NOV16 - AE) cannot fall within the one-year seat lock of said new-hire/seat-locked pilot.

I believe if a new category is created, you can bid and be awarded within 1st year. I.E. A new A/C on property, new base opens, or an aircraft is brought in to a base it has not been operating in.
