It's time-consuming and the take rate is insanely low.
makes sense...the trips were all 6+ credit day turns

I was non-revving yesterday and noticed a change in access to Deltanet on the go-go wifi. Anybody know when they did this? While my personal GAS factor on what I can and can't access on Deltanet while in the back doesn't matter much to me, this does smell something like a status quo violation if the change occurred after we rejected TA15. Minor I know, but I'm not in the giving mood. Even the smallest of infractions should be followed up on, just not sure this qualifies.

We were told the bandwidth couldn't handle it without degrading customer performance, so most sections of DeltaNet are now off limits. iCrew and TravelNet should both still function. I think the lawyers will tell you this isn't a big enough deal to be considered a status quo violation, and availability of DN on the airplane is also not a contractual item (two tests for the legal definition of SQV).

Status quo is not the same thing as contractual. There is no provision to pick up overtime in the contract, yet if ALPA directed we stop picking up all open time DAL would sue and win as a change to the status quo. Maybe I really like to look at my benefits and Ask Ed while DHing from ATL to SAV...

I'm not impressed with the company's counter and don't feel like doing any favors or overlooking even minor infractions to the status quo.
Latest and greatest of Delta Airlines: our association(ALPA) is failing us once again! our work rules are worse then the regional I worked for 20 years ago, they are negotiating concessions into almost every section(per our notepad updates) and if I was young again I would go fly boxes or look at UAL/AA at least they have more wide body higher paying positions!

Yeah. Too bad we are stupid enough to keep pinning our pay to the size of airplanes management wants to buy and to which we have zero input. They must laugh their asses off at that.

They laugh their asses off at every chance they get-right to the bank. Especially after negotiation sessions. They spit their coffee out with laughter especially after C2012 and the sales job for TA15.

Quote: Thanks for the tips, fellas.

I was wondering if there's a place under the east & west sides of ATL to maybe get a face-full of airplanes. Maybe we'll drive around and explore to find something like that. Look for me short final...my kids & I might be the ones being arrested.

I was leaving the terminal at ATL yesterday and chuckled to myself a bit at how much louder the Maddog is than the 777. The MD sounds like it's in burner on departure.

Let us know if you find a space, like to do same thing

Quote: The cell phone lot at ATL isn't a bad place to watch the planes. The quality of the show depends on which way they are landing. No bathroom. Kids cannot run around. Air conditioning in the car.
Driving south from downtown ATL yesterday so the family and I stopped at the Convention Center and found an empty parking lot to watch for a little while. Jets were taking-off to the west so departures were overhead. Not a bad show but the planes were reasonably high by the time they went over the CC and lots of trees to navigate away from for a decent view.

Haven't seen arrivals from that spot and also haven't tried the cell phone lot yet. I think the ideal viewing location would be around the perimeter of the airport on the arrival or departure (east & west) ends but I don't think there's a place off of those roads to pullover and stop to watch. That said, I might try the parking lot at the Porsche test track underneath short final for 26R but some German engineers might chase us off for parking our Honda Odyssey on their premises.
