Well I never really thought of it that way, but now that you mention I would have to say yes. I think you are on to something here. :D

And don't forget, walking aboard the ship made you two things.....hungry and tired. Lastly, 8 hours of sleep each day was required, with whatever you could at night being extra ;-)

We used to say, "If you sleep 12 hours a day, cruise is only 3 months long!":p

Thinking about bidding Reserve in March. Have 15+ hours of carry-in. How are those 2 days and hours figured into March as far as pay and number of days on reserve? Thanks

DO NOT bid reserve with carry in credit. Those hours just go to your guarantee. The only way it would be beneficial is that you would fill up quicker. Also, those 2 days just take up 2 of your rsv days for the month.

Eat 'til you're tired, sleep 'til you're hungry!:D

On months where coverage is low and you know you are going to fly, it takes away 2 reserve days, builds your raw score and gets you started towards the max. If I know I'm going to fly (nyc in the summer) I don't mind having carry in. On the slow months you are basically working for nothing as you won't break guarantee

Try to swap it for something completely in Feb if you're dead set on bidding reserve in Mar
