Kind of....you will not be awarded a GS or GSWC if the rotation covers a day that has an APD as a line holder or an APD or PD as a reserve holder. So yes...a line holder can GS over a PD but not an APD. See 23.Q.7.f.

Sputnik was asking about a YS on reserve.

Reference-schmeference. Don't need to read no stinkin' PWA.

If you say it with confidence, it must be right. 😁

A line holder CAN fly on a PD day, WS,GS, whatever.

However a reserve CANNOT fly on a PD day...yes, a personal drop...can't fly on a APD for either line or reserve.

Edit: once a reserve personal drops a day, ya can't go back and try to pickup anything that day. No takebacks...even if there's later a sweet trip with 30 hrs in your hometown. Went out as a greenie to someone later, so at least there's that.

If we could PD as a reserve and then fly over that day reserves would PD enough days that CS could not use them and then pick their own schedule.

So?

They could only do it if there were excess reserves, basically for the entire month, and would be saving the company money if they weren't successful and breaking even if they were. And its a pretty big gamble anyway that would rarely work out for most on a full month to month basis.

You could maybe leverage it into a net win, assuming all the stars lined up perfectly, by rolling thunder (sort of) but if that worked, then by definition pure rolling thunder would have worked too and that's way more consistently lucrative, and without the smattering of one days and SC's that (supposedly) commuters now have to be in position for
