On another note Denny what’s going on with the 330 in SEA? Does no one want a line? Something like 23 line holders and 45 reserves with plenty of unbid time to build lots of lines.

Exactly. In other words, always put in a bid!

It basically what tunes said. In March (and before) we had 3 daily departures and in April (and for the foreseeable future according to CR) we have 1..... HKG went to the 777 and I believe CDG did too although I’m not sure about that one. Too lazy to check. But it’s gone too. To cut down on credit etc., all the trips except for 2 are 6, 7, 8 days. Not very many 6 days either. One won’t get into the LCW and two is too much.

It’s kinda funny looking at all the 330 bases open time, or, except for SEA, nonexistent open time! After this last bid we will be down to 63, 64 captains. It’s funny, I’ve been the same number from the bottom for the 3+ years. Lucky I live in base!

The best is when that happens and you don’t put in a RLL bid it makes you unblockable which by default puts you on reserve. You can swap that for a blank regular line with no rotation guarantee then pick up your trips from open time for the month. It’s how i got Christmas off this past year and worked 11 days for 80 hours of pay in December.

I thought the same about trip length but a quick look at open time showed you could pair almost any two trips and stay under the 79:30 ALV.

How do you swap a reserve line for a blank regular line?

Thx.

Call scheduling. Names of those eligible are listed in the award, if I'm not mistaken.

IF EVERY "May go" pilot bids 'no voluntary training', and no pilot senior to you bid for an assignable slot, you could get training.

13 of the 14 slots will go to the "Must go"s unless there are extenuating circumstances. That leaves only 1 to be assigned. Make the no voluntary training after a desire to train and you might get it.

That is IF you WANT May. Otherwise leave Avoid Voluntary first and you Should dodge it, unless you are the most junior on the list and everyone ELSE has the 'Avoid Voluntary' first.

While a true statement in the legalistic sense, it would be a hard sell to any crew who ever got a passenger compliment that was sent to Delta and includes "Thank you Delta."

Which shirt do you buy? If I remember there are 3 different fabric options. I’ve been considerig buying from them for awhile but haven’t done so yet. I’ve heard some complaints about big buttons? Any thoughts on that?

Just bought one. Buttons are a little bigger but if you have a tie on you never see them anyways. Fits great, I got the tailored fit and I’m not fat but not skinny.
