I am going to work my way back to Anchorage. Shoot for SLC initially, then to SEA when the 76s go there and then ANC when we acquire Alaska Airlines.

At that point I will be back to the reason I came to NWA in the first place, the ANC base. Heaven on earth.

Capn,

I can handle DTW cold. MSP cold is another story. :D

Denny, Hawaii, and everyone else,

Thanks for you help. I really appreciate it.

Denny, as soon as I get these jumbled "what if's" into a manageable state, I will PM you.

What are the senior people above me going to do?
What is the compny going to do to the people who are junior to me?

My guess is that parking those airplanes alone would place me at best in the bottom 10% in DTW.

But when you throw in the increased domestic flying and the migration to NYC and ATL that I see coming, who knows?

Not complaining: But this is another reason why the APA system was a little better. You could see displacements coming at you. Now we have to plan for a possible displaclement that would occur almost a year from now.... (I am happy to have good options, though)

What are you going to do, capn?

New K Now

When we start this AE, you will be able to go into the system and see how many people above you have made a specific category their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. Now, its not 100% accurate as I believe if I put ATL 88 B then it shows up for the guys junior to me as if someone from another category has it as their choice when in reality I already have it.

But you can put 744 A DTW and see how many people are going for it. FWIW.

FYI guys-

This bid does not plan on ALL DC-9's getting parked- just the -30 and 40's.

There is no longer a freeze to go to the 90 and there never was a freeze to go from the 90 to the 88. They did away with the 9 month freeze to go to the 90 in Jan of 08. The FO's now only do a CD for differences training and the CA's are suppose to do the CD and one sime ride in the 90 sim. I did one sim ride in the 90 sim when I did my differences training. I've never seen the 90 sim since then, and have done all my recurrent sims in the 88.

FWIW, if the 90 was staying in SLC I'd stay on it for another 10 years. It really is a nice airplane except the heating and AC system. I think you -9 guys will like it, as for the 320 guys that get MD into it, welcome back to actually flying an airplane.

Anybody think there will be displacements off the NYC7ERB? I think I'm going to try to VD.

I have no dog in this fight, but.... Texas is 7-0-1 against "Bama all time. However The last time they played was 1982. None of the current players were even born yet, as well as a few coaches. Heck Bear Bryant was still pacing the sidelines.

Like I said no dog in this fight it should be a great game. Hopefully it will be after a nice Fiesta Bowl win for my Hawkeyes.

I know, I was just stirring the pot since satchip wanted to go back to 1992 ;)

Good question about NYC 7ER B, I'd like to know that and the plans for ATL ER B and 767 ATL, the latter because it just shows you the long term plan with that category. I wonder if 767 is going to continually be reduced until its completely absorbed by the ER category.

Any one? Where is that lizard guy?

It sure seems this is the way we are headed. Only SLC and ATL to go!

I'll bet they move the 757 out of SLC before they convert that to an ER base.
