Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I had something similar happen, two days worth, and had them put on the backend of my primary vacation. Yep, December 24 and 25!

American does it best: You reserve the jumpseat ahead of time (first come, first served basis) and simultaneously list for non-rev. It's simple and works. This isn't rocket surgery, Delta.

Since jumpseat is an actual reservation for us, I don't really mind our current system. You get to choose nonrev and have a chance for a seat in the back or a sure thing with the jumpseat. Since we can reserve it, listing for both would increase chances of other pilots not having a chance to get on that flight if you got a seat in the back last minute when the gate agent didn't want to deal with jumpseaters or if it was past jumpseat listing closeout.
I'm probably not going to explain this well but..........does anyone know where in the contract it talks about adding either the flight time or duty time from one day to next to determine what kind of minimum break in duty is required? It used to be in Section 12 but I cannot find it any where. Specifically I want to know what the min break in duty is if the scheduled block time from both before and after adds up to over 20 hours for a 3 man crew. Based on my timecard, I'm sure scheduling got it right, I just want to know where its located now. Thanks

The reservation system works for commuters. I book my JS when the window opens and cancel if I don't need.
Thanks Sailingfun! The formatting was different than I remember.
Last week I got inversely assigned to a 3 day Beijing trip and it paid quite a bit more than I thought it would. I knew the answer was in there somewhere. We ended up being on duty, for pay purposes, for the entire trip.

I had a Beijing trip where they changed it to a 16 hour layover after canceling the night prior and they kept us on it instead of running through the coverage ladder...ended up getting back the same time for 88 hours of pay, plus the guys that should have been assigned it were paid
