I agree DALPA took the appropriate action under the circumstances but RCC “inputs” have always been nothing more than suggestions.

None of it?
Ok, thanks, SF!
She is a speaker and can't fly home any longer, but next time I see her I will tell her that she is wrong! Because some guy on a forum with 10K posts said so!

Agreed. This is all very instructional, indicative maybe, what’s the right word?, as to how the next Section 6 will go. I know, SAD!

Which is important because pilots who may have been able to hold a line if Sils had been awarded, are on reserve.

You don't know that. Maybe the pilot who would've been paid 40 hours for a SIL will now bid RES in an effort to get 72-80 hours for minimal effort.

As a line holder in a SIL category, I would have bid for a 40 hr SIL in September. Someone junior to me will be on reserve instead of holding a line.

You don’t have to believe me. You can look at the union scope reports and or read our contract. The flying to Mexico has not decreased. I guess however you will take the word of a flight attendant over your union.

Huh? Someone is going to hold that line you didn't get when you took the month off.

I think voluntary SILs are a net benefit to the Pilot group as a whole but if the company blows off our PWA then DALPA is correct in pulling them down.

As I said RCC inputs have always basically been requests, not really inputs, but if they have sufficient manning to honor them but still don’t, then by all means shut them down.
