Thanks for the info. The problem was not the link. The problem was the Apple Store wouldn't let me DL until I verified my account via text ID code which I couldn't get while in airplane mode on my phone in the air. Hence wanting to DL at home, which I did. Thanks for the name of the app.
FWIW there’s free texting now on all DL flights if you connect on the main splash gogo/delta studio page so that might have worked.
I go to Skyhub daily and lurk. Lots of useful info there.
Once in a while I might like a "pilot saves puppies" post. I hope ALPA can save me.

I'm guessing the problem isn't you - it's the guys hanging out at CC arguing about the color of the sky who I'd be worried about. It's one things to be chatting on the flight deck complaining about company decisions, but to post them on an online company forum where everyone can see it, and it's all recorded...
A little bit of paranoia is not necessarily a bad thing....

I find the Sky Hub to be a somewhat useful source of "low hanging fruit" type of information that has a fairly short shelf life. Stuff like "hey if you are working on the holidays there will be food in the pilot lounge" or "the employee shuttle bus will be using different routes the next few days due to [insert reason here]."
There is a lot of that kind of stuff that a social media "hub" is almost uniquely custom designed for. The problem is that users cannot leave it at that, and then all the problems crop up with folks who hit "send" when they really shouldn't.
Not everything needs to be a bulletin or official email. Do we really need to send an email to every ATL-based pilot advertising turkey in the pilot lounge on Christmas? I'm guessing that those who won't access SkyHub probably haven't enabled any company email communications either.
I'd take it a step further and say a little bit of privacy is a great thing!
I'm against the forced creation of my profile on SkyHub. I don't like how the company rolled it out to Flight Operations with the default setting 'opt-in' without any concurrence or acknowledgement on my part (you could argue I'm an employee, and that is implied concurrence, but I don't think that would stand in a court of law; I'd like to see it tested).
I don't have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter at home (and I'm in my 30s, but not quite a millenial) because I value what little privacy my life has left to be enjoyed by me, my wife, children, family, and friends.. and when desired by the relationships that I have forged with people by COMMUNICATING with them directly.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned.
I believe the issue for many isn't about responsibility/maturity, but of privacy. I'd rather delete my account altogether if it were possible, but for now I just turned off every notification and allowance for someone to find me.
