Ok. I was just saying. Hopefully the reason we aren’t hearing about it anywhere else (fb/cc) is Bc it’s exaggerated. Just hoping nobody got their arm shattered. If it happened like Dude said, no bueno. Swift and severe. Then again maybe he insulted his wife and mother...
For over 30 years I’ve opposed and tried to end dues money spent on booze ever and the MEC laughed every time. If you need to drink to do business, you need to step down. |

This isn’t the MECs personal gentleman’s club. Looks like I’m going to have to write a resolution banning hospitality suites and alcohol. Now I’m funding an alcohol fueled fight club? This stops now. I’m pi$$ed. Grow the F up. This just set us back a decade when it comes to professional representation and negotiating a multi billion dollar contract.
I still hope this is a hoax. |

While I agree heartily with the first part of your post, I completely disagree with the bold part... I assume the reason these reps are in Atlanta in the first place is to conduct union business. I for one don’t want any of our reps being even the slightest bit impaired when they are conducting said union business. Is it too much to ask of our union representation to conduct themselves in the manner and mindset that they would if they were Captaining one of Delta’s aircraft???
There is some irony in this situation. The two ATL captain reps tried to get the MEC to limit alcohol in the hospitality suite their first meeting back in March 2016. Didn't pass. |

Agree with everyone else here. Why are they boozing when they're supposed to be working? |

Write the resolution. After the BOD and now this, we shouldn’t be spending dues dollars on booze. I think you would have widespread pilot support.
NO dues for booze! I'm tired of hearing "free booze is the only compensation ALPA volunteers get". I don't want the kind of representation that can be bought with free booze. |

This wasn’t some meeting of millennials. It was mostly, if not all, middle aged to over-the-hill white dudes whose first instincts are not to grab their cell phones! I will be shocked if video proof exists. |

And there in lies the problem. If video of the hospitality shinanigans was made available they would have to act like adults. Those old white dudes could learn something from millennials and gen z.
https://www.redandblack.com/uganews/...3442f961a.html I think this is serious enough without video to get the ball rolling on this much-needed change, IMHO. |

Why are we talking about this on a public forum if we’re so concerned with our/the unions image? Inquiring minds and all.
