FO medical is once a year on 7ER. Not sure what others are referencing.

Most European countries require a first class medical for first officers. A first class reverts to second class after 6 months so international FO's have to get a medical every 6 months.

Someone better tell Delta to start making FO’s do so.. there must be an exemption because I don’t know anyone doing this.
edit: over 40 it is required. Relief FO over 40 has to have a 6 month medical. |

6 737-900 5 757 serious question - was this massive realignment in their plans all along and now with the virus they have the opportunity to execute it with the government paying the salary of the people una then hire everyone back with where they want the planes? it’s gonna suck if we have positive news coming and people still all have to relocate and train. but that’s the business we are I believe that the realignment was the plan all along, but they would have done it more slowly as long as planes were still full and at least covering their costs. That all changed and the govt started paying the payroll, so they figured they should rip it all off like a band-aid now and set this air line up to be an all airbus fleet. Over kill on the UNA, then bring people back as needed. The company gets the added benefit of trying to leverage concessions from the pilots in the mean time. |

The company gets the added benefit of trying to leverage concessions from the pilots in the mean time. If not, then they're typical MBA's looking for their next EPS welfare check at our expense. LOL nope. |

you are correct. Not sure about the airbus point tho- there are a lot of relatively young Boeings in the fleet.
You and Gloopy are both right, I overstated with “all Airbus”. I expect the 739s to be around for a long time with the 738s to be mid range “shock absorbers”. The 7ER will fluctuate, sticking around until a combo of replacements is acquired. Same thing with the 717 on the low end. It was low hanging fruit to park in a hurry, but they’ll be easy to spin back up especially if they need to AE UNAs into them in a hurry, it won’t have a cascade effect as it’s a junior fleet. The MDs were obviously being prepared to be parked, stuck around longer than planned only due to stronger demand than expected (they didn’t see that coming [emoji849]). Easy decision to retire. I don’t think the 777s were much of a surprise once the orders for A350s got to 30+. If demand had stayed very strong they may have kept them, but now I bet they can get (order) any wide body they want for really cheap and I’m sure negotiations are ongoing about that as we speak. |
Reserve, rerouted into an X day with no more res days in the month. This should result in a payback day yes? Trip closed this morning and it’s not showing, does it take longer for PB days to show up?
