Actually I specifically said GS, no assuming :).
Here’s another, my FO got RR into a Golden day due to the power outage. She got a nice chunk of RR pay and a Pr worth about 21 hours. She had a YS in to be 1st to fly on RES days, and she got assigned a trip that signed in at 0945 on top of the Pr. That would’ve been too early on a standard RES day since it was the 1st after coming off a ** day, but it was a double whammy considering she wasn’t even on LC until 2100 or so. She didn’t have any additional pay for that trip. Should she be given assignment pay for the entire trip or just day 1, or is there another answer? She’s on probation and is nervous about calling the company. I don’t think that’s something to worry about but don’t want to give bad advice. If I am understanding this correctly if it was a reserve GS it would just be day 1 pay above the cap since it is a reserve call out less than 12 hours and she was indeed on call that day. I am not sure if/how her yellow slipping will affect this. No reason to not call scheduling or Pilot assist with a question - this has nothing to be with being on probation. |
So I had a 1-day GS on Dec 31 (RES.)
No PB day on my JAN timecard (Lineholder.) I’d like to use the PB day to maximum financial advantage. I called CS, they told me to PD a trip and WS it back up. Then to call them and have the the first day of the trip made into the PB day. This all agrees with the SRH. End result: I have a TOFF on the first day of the trip. My timecard has the trip as a WS with pay and credit. The next line says “TOFF” with the date of the first day of the trip but with no pay or credit listed. Question: Does this appear correctly? Assuming I get paid twice for the first day of the trip, why does the timecard not reflect this? Convoluted, I know, but any answer would be appreciated — especially the correct one. |

What was the scheduled time on day one? Your TOFF day should be listed on your time card along with the scheduled flying or deadhead time for that first day. It should be listed as pay&credit.

It was 4:20. There's no pay/credit associated with the TOFF line. That's why I'm puzzled.

So, I could have left it as is and still WS'd a trip this week. Now I can't. Scoop will think that is a good thing, I'm not so sure. |
Payback day question...
Can I drop a trip using a PB day and pick it back up in the same PCS run? What is the order that the PCS run goes in? |

Payback day question....
On my DEC time card it showed I had 1 PB day. Then I looked today and noticed my PB day was gone. How did I lose this PB day in the new year??? PB days are converted to supplemental vacation days 1jan. You have until 31 March to use it as a pb day otherwise it is a vacation day tacked on to your vacation. To use it as a PB day you have to personal drop a trip then call scheduling to have the payback day applied to your schedule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So I called about this.....should have just let it lie. I guess some schedulers take the time to add the pay to the TOFF days.....others do not. It doesn't matter if they don't, they will be audited towards the end of the month and the pay will be applied. The supervisor assured me that they will get paid without the scheduler taking the time to attach pay. She said she hadn't attached the pay in 7 years. If they don't attach the pay, then your max pickup limit is not reduced. If they attach the pay then it is reduced. She said this PB bank day issued for Jan-Mar is a pain in the ass for them and wished they would fix it so we can just keep them in the bank.
