Denny

And by replacing narrowbody aircraft, he means replacing 757s. That eats into another one of those COLA pay bumps...

It's beyond silly. The 757er with winglets is listed at 4100 miles for range. The 739-900ER is listed at 3265 miles for range and that's with two aux tanks in the belly eating all your baggage room. The 757 is marginal for most NY to near Europe routes in the winter. The 737 would be a disaster.

You are correct Sir. We would never put 737's on some of the shorter Atlantic routes. Like BOS to Ireland. Or BOS to London. That would be crazy. It would be just like putting RJs on 1000+ legs in the states.

OH, wait a minute. Never-mind.

But, we have no problem on putting them on the longest over-water leg we have such as the West Coast to Hawaii.

Yeah. It will never happen!

Scoop

Deadheading to CDG. Looking in FOM, looks like I can have a cocktail in business as long as I'm in civilian clothes? Sound correct?

I've never DHd internationally.

Anyone at the NYC roadshow care to post an update? Maybe in the TA section?

Not nearly as bad as the insistence on........ oh, you know.

I don't see the 737 going to Europe. Why wouldn't Delta just swap those A321's for A321LR neo's, those are 4000+ range?

I got behind a British Airway A-319 on the track one night-he was headed JFK to London City I think. All first class config. I could see something like this happening down the road with us.

It's better than that! Take your biz class boarding pass to the Sky Club and you're admitted for pre-flight beverages and snacks:D

Enjoy the beverage, but stay in civilian clothes all the way through. Don't put on your uniform for the trip to the hotel. The one possible sticking point could be wearing the airline ID to get on the crew van.
