Delta MD-88 off the Runway in LGA

Careful everyone!

An aircraft skidded on the runway at LaGuardia Airport and crashed into a fence as a blinding wintry mix coated the region Thursday morning, Port Authority officials and sources familiar with the situation tell NBC 4 New York.
It wasn't clear how many people were on the Delta plane when it slid off the runway around 11 a.m., nor was it known if it was landing or taking off. There was no immediate word on injuries.
Photos posted to Twitter and other social media showed the tail of the plane dipping into the snow; it's nose was pointed to the air.
Delta couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

I believe that if a trip blocks in prior to 0230 isn't eligible for the 5:15 daily minimum. Is the same true on the other end, a trip that signs in after 2130 no daily min?

There is a carve out from midnight to 2AM based on release time. The carve out at the front end for ADG purposes was eliminated effective 1 NOV 14 so a trip reporting at 11:59 gets 5:15 for that day.

Great news, thanks.

In the case of seeing NOOP on the daily trip coverage, it means the entire rotation was cancelled. NOOP = Not Operating

Anyone know if SABRE/FLICA has gotten their act together with regard to their expense reports? Or are they still taking forever.

Probably going with Pro-Diem as their turn around time was much better.

Got mine from FLICA via email in under 6 hrs. last week.

Thoughts go out the the passengers and crew of the MD-88 in LGA this morning. Luckily no one was hurt.

Delta plane veers off runway in landing at LaGuardia

wow, usually there's much more info here on current events... I bailed off CNN watching them beat this M88 off RWY dead-horse endlessly, standard CNN, for the usually much more informative L&G.

Glad folks on that flight are OK. I can totally empathize with that crew... landed into a NY airport couple days ago, ice and snow falling, bad braking, crosswinds and big tailwinds at 1000ft dropping to calm just at landing, everyone gridlocked once clear...
There but for the grace of god go most of us...
