Thanks. No chance of moving XX days, 1 Jan is way below required reserves.

could be wrong here since i've never done it but i thought they let you move your X day to the first day of the GS no matter what coverage is since you are still flying over that day.

I think you are correct, but 1 Jan would be the last day of the trip which is what I'm trying to avoid.

On the bright side, the two payback days would go into your payback bank since they cannot be used in Dec. I'd check with ALPA on the credit going to 1 Jan as to whether or not it would still be above guarantee. This is definitely one of those "scratch your head" situation.

So I got passed on a couple GS which I thought I was eligible for. As a reserve, I only need to submit in/out of base without conflict, correct? They don't consider a GS that overlaps a day of RES as a GSWC do they?

They do not. Plug the trips into the rules auditor and if your legal for one call crew scheds and ask to be paid.

I ended up getting paid on the GS where I was passed over. I'm on reserve and it shows 4F1R with the block time for the trip as sked time and pay time, but I don't see it showing as RES assign GS pay towards the bottom. It looks very similar to the 1 hour credits I got for SC, save that I didn't get any credit.

Is this the proper way to account for the trip on my bank statement? It's so hard to tell what and when I'm being paid for work accomplished, just want to make sure that the pay doesn't disappear into the nether.

I have XX days 30, 31 Dec and 2 Jan. I am on RES 1 and 3 Jan. There is a 0% chance I can fill up in January.

If I pick up a GS that ends on 1 or 3 Jan, all the credit will go towards my Jan RES guarantee and I will essentially be working for free (since most of the trips are 30 hour layovers with minimal block in December). Any trip that ends on 2 Jan and has a 30 hour layover which covers 1 Jan will essentially be a normal RES GS since there is no block on my scheduled RES day and all the trip credit will hit on 2 Jan, a scheduled XX day.

Thanks for looking.

You're assuming a GS. If you YS you'll be putting all that sweet credit on the 2nd likely for free.

Actually I specifically said GS, no assuming :).

Here’s another, my FO got RR into a Golden day due to the power outage. She got a nice chunk of RR pay and a Pr worth about 21 hours. She had a YS in to be 1st to fly on RES days, and she got assigned a trip that signed in at 0945 on top of the Pr. That would’ve been too early on a standard RES day since it was the 1st after coming off a ** day, but it was a double whammy considering she wasn’t even on LC until 2100 or so.

She didn’t have any additional pay for that trip. Should she be given assignment pay for the entire trip or just day 1, or is there another answer? She’s on probation and is nervous about calling the company. I don’t think that’s something to worry about but don’t want to give bad advice.

I suspect assignment pay is due. Have her call the DALPA Schedulers—they’ve gotten me double pay for similar situations, and no “threat” (real or perceived) re probation....

Long as polite, nothing to fear. Check if PB days in bank. Call ALPA if dont like/under stand scheds answer.
