Yeah, that would've been a great trip to pick up out of open time for a commuter but it was specifically coded to only go to an ATL RES. I have no idea if the guy who got the trip is a commuter and thus got a good deal, but I know as an in-base guy on NB reserve I'd have been pretty disappointed if I received a 6 day trip. Especially knowing the reason I got the trip is the company can't figure out how to properly staff the airline, and I'm just a cost saving technique.

Since its number is a 0xxx AND it had a remark ATL RES it was created from some other rotation. It might have been a NYC rotation that didn't have coverage or some other scenario, but the remark of "XXX RES Only" means that there was adequate ATL reserve coverage and CT didn't want it to go out as any form of WS. Sucks for both the reserve that got it and the commuter who didn't.

It says “res only” because it was a trip from another base. CS is not allowed to move trips to other bases and cover them with white slips or green slips. They can only cover a trip from another base with a reserve pilot. It’s obviously a NYC 4 day trip and they didn’t have enough reserves so they moved it to ATL.

doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of domiciles?

How long is the seat lock if you go from 320B to 350B?

How about 320B to 330B?

Thanks

Depends on how log IQ is.

1. A pilot who is awarded an AE or VD for which qualification training consisting of 13 or
more scheduled curriculum days is required will incur a 24-month category freeze,

I think 320 to 330 is only a 9-12 month seatlock

In front of the flight number on a pairing, where you usually see "D" for deadhead, what does an "L" mean. The flight is a 3 man crew and scheduled foe OE? Thanks!

It means a LCA will be performing LCA duties on the flight. If everyone is already qualified, it will be a line check. If not, then it’s probably an IOE or TOE.
