I haven't talked to anyone internally but a couple of passengers supposedly present at DTW said a pilot called out. They used the words "didn't show" but doubt that's accurate. Regardless these people on social media there were only 3/4 pilots.

Looking at 744 Reserve and Trip Coverage list last night, there were plenty of reserves available...but nobody assigned Short Call. Not one. The no-shows were filled by GS and IA.
I wonder where that screw up came about...was it scheduling or were these pilots being hand-picked for these final flights and whoever made those decisions never provided for backup pilots? I have no idea, but this was certainly non-standard (not throwing stones...just trying to understand). |
Converting to the 320 Jan 1. For reserve, will I be paid 320 or 321 rates? Is it a blend? Thanks!

Should be the 321 rate. See 4.C.1.2 for the contract reference. |
Anyone have an opinion? Is it worth it to move from the 737 to the 757/767
I would lose 30 percent seniority I’m not sure if i want to do strictly international on the 330 plus I would lose 50 percent seniority in base on that plane at this point My current opinion is no but I would love to fly those planes before they go. How many years do the 767s have left? Thanks |

If you haven't flown international, I think it can't hurt to try it. I don't know how long the ER is going to be around. For me, I'm glad I did it. This way I won't spend the next 10 years peeking over the fence wondering if the grass is really that much greener. |

I just did it not too long ago in SLC. The ER is a great fleet. It's a step backward in time from the 73. As far as flying it before it goes, I felt the same way. Now that I'm doing it, it's nice, but it's still just an airplane. I don't like the international as much as I thought I would. The domestic option is nice if you end up not liking international. I got a narrowbody A award and I'm looking forward to going back.
