717 is easy to get to ATL quick and lines in ATL are commutable on both ends. A friend of mine is looking at changing aircraft and he has been studying the bid packages. 320 is the most commutable in NYC.
1. Nyc A320 2.??? Last is NYC 717 it sounds like... I realize it's subject to change, but just looking for a general frame of reference . Thank you in advance. |

Any chance you could put up a list in order of commutable planes and bases a new hire would be able to hold?

Senior FOs, (from a noob Junior one...)
I have a trip next week that is scheduled to be dropped for some OE, this is the first time that the planets have aligned like this (in my favor, that is). Well I don't believe there is any contract language specifying when I'll be "released" from the flying... so what's the latest to expect? Ie... call CS the day before, or are we still being required to sign in and be released by the LCA's call to CS? |

They should call you about 1900 the night before. If they don't call and release you you have to show...

Great...another missing Airplane in Europe. Can't wait to see how this effects us. UGH. Prayers to the families of the crew and passengers.

I would sit about 67% in the nyc 73n category and don't feel like I would have a commutable line I could rely on. Trip mixes do vary but looks ugly right now with a lot of junior trips getting back at 2200-2355. 717 is worse in nyc. I'm shopping for a category to improve my commuting life and can't decide.

Hypothetical now, but could be a factor when I transition later this year.
Let's say I have training the last 2 weeks of the month and manage to roll thunder and have only PB and XX days remaining during my training footprint. Will I earn PB days and single pay above guarantee for those off days which are overlapped by training? Also at what pay rate will they be paid, the old or new? Thanks |
