Just checked on prices to fly the family to see Grandma. Prices are for 4 people, round trip:

Expedia: $1500
Delta Confirmed for Even Less: $5200

Hmmm. Non-rev the day after school lets out? Should be a time at Hartsfeld... Fortunately for Chicago I've got 2 main choices plus I could fly into BMI or MKE and just drive the rest of the way. Any other airports within 2 hours I'm missing?

Are you flying out of ATL or do you live somewhere else?

Looks like fares to MDW are much cheaper.... probably due to SWA offering 2x daily nonstop to MDW for $109 each way, $218 total per person.:eek:

Delta pilots can be hard to manage when they don't get the schedules they want. :D

Those were to MDW. We looked a couple weeks ago and SWA had a $32 1-way fare to MDW but it left at 0600. That is a pain for just me, I can't imagine getting the entire family to the airport by 0430 for the 1 hour fun at TSA to catch the 0600. Grandma can wait a day if necessary :).

If you have all day to non rev, you could try and get to LGA, then take the shuttle to ORD.
