Technically the FedEx discount rate is "space available". It's a fantastic $$$ deal.

Never had a problem though.

I second everything that you said.

I have never had a problem, but I also haven't tried shipping anything on December 22nd...

Check close to the end of Dec on blackout dates. Some years they won't guarantee delivery after the 18, 19, 20th. I don't know how it's determined and it may be a local policy.

Other than the blackout, I've shipped stuff and LOVE the discount! Walk in with a 'bookbox' size box that weighs 9-10 lbs (clothes and presents) and walk out with a tracking number for $10-$15.

I used it once a few years ago. Does it have to be shipped from the FedEx station at the airport or is it any FedEx?

Just take your badge to any FedEx store in the country, ask them the cheapest way to ship it with your Delta discount, and if you're in a non-Delta hub city, watch their eyebrows go up as they grok the awesome nature of your super duper discount.

Works with a retired Delta badge too, or so I'm told.

Is there a way to view what the block times of a rotation were originally scheduled for after the rotation has already been completed?

Probably not the methodology you're looking for but you could look up the original pairing in the bid pack pretty easily. That wouldn't work for "broken parings" of course.
