I can't imagine trying to insure that guy's Porsche up North. In Detroit rates on my cars are a little more than 400% higher than I pay in the suburbs of Atlanta.
DTW and MSP are just flippin expensive places to live.
Funny you say that, but I just sold that car last night in anticipation of moving to snowtown. Having big regrets already about selling it, It wasn't even advertised. Word of mouth. The car is actually a 1994 968 M030, one of 100 in the world with that combo. I have had three '86s 951's over the years though. Off to fix a power steering leak I go before the ppi.
Probably had the 220 option to go with the M30. Extremely nice car but I'm wanting BOOOST!!!

If Delta rebases the Flight Attendants like they are doing the pilots on this bid I expect Delta's first passage of a representational vote in short order.
Heck, our MEC's Strike Preparedness Committee just got a gift. Their work is 98% finished with this bid. Lets have a Pizza Party and open the balloting.
With the loss of 3000 jobs, mostly in MSP...RA said it added 200mil to the bottom line, so what base took the hits?
Exactly
"Figure about $15 million dollars in new jobs just came to town. For Atlanta about $45 million in jobs is leaving town."
I doubt that guys going to F-NWA Bases will all move there, most DTW guys commute as is...so the money isnt going to those states....only the states in which pilots actually live in...IMHO

Well, the Atlanta General Office parking lot tells that story. They have 30 days to change their registration. The insurance and taxes are a lot lower down here, so I'd expect the rusty tags will be replaced with bright shiny Georgia Peaches rather quickly.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are 0 07-08 hires in any widebody category much to the joy of the "that's not fair (to me) you got hired right into that plane" club.
Unless DTW pulls a NJ and makes commuters have to pay a payroll tax then no they won't be getting any money unless people move there.
