Im just guessing this group would vote a big "NO" on any Joint contract with AS unless it was very lucrative for us.

Just think Delta could then have over 400 70 seat RJ's.

Heads up boys!!!

Did anyone else not get their phase 5 stuff? I called manuals on the 28th. It was supposed to be resent overnight. I still don't have it. I also don't have my new health insurance card. A little worried about this stuff considering my wife is having surgery next week and I have a trip on January 1st.

One thing nice about the "status quo" mergers is that in an ideal circumstance the equipment and seat you held before the merger was the same equipment and seat you're gonna hold after the merger.

NOT complaining about the NWA deal. Just pointing out that without "status quo" about anything can happen.
I see another "Roberts" deal here, AS has no Widebodies and no expectations of ever flying one, very different than the NWA deal.

Bar, does your data include their latest contract pay rates? Also, I think their reserve guarantee is 79 hours (short call) and 75 (long call). I was looking at their retirement, doesn't seem like they have real high A or B fund contributions (compared to AMR) so hopefully that status doesn't play against us (DB vs DC in the eyes of an arbitrator). If allowed to happen, I am convinced the 2000 and on hires will get hammered (both sides this time).

As far as I am concerned, if DAL wants to tap into the west coast markets, I think that flying would be better done by Delta pilots. I think we have a fairly weak presence out west compared to JBLU, SWA, UAL and AA. Expansion is a better option for us than another SLI. At least NWA brought 3 billion and a profitable structure at $100/barrel, AS is struggling right now at $78/barrel.

Even with them, I don't think a roberts deal would be appropriate. That's been tried before with our northern brethren....and it was a miserable failure.

Ratio them in according to equipment/pay, fence SEA off for a while and go from there.

Oh, and while we're at it- new JPWA with some improvements. Keep the pay and rules coming back...

Do all y'all really think the gubmint will allow a merger between Delta and Alaska? I thinking that may be a stretch.

If they look at career expectations, they will blend them in at a certain ratio at the average 73N Captain slot, and then downwards. They will try to use the good ole "DOH" argument, but that won't work, again. It may be ugly, but they will get over it if it happens.
