Maybe a poor choice of words on my part but I would think there would be some kind of accomodation for AK guys in SEA and ANC. Any 737 pilot could fly any 737 to and from any where they fly.

I find it hard to believe that the company would not agree to an arbitrated list with fences around bases. That's opening a whole can of worms that I'm sure they don't want to. If they were so adamant against fences, we wouldn't have a list now.

Any way it's just speculation on my part.:)

I think he is saying that the company hates fences. We would as a pilot group fence everything if we could, they'd fence nothing and if you think they'll be okay with fences on a narrowbody fleet with AS then be aware they don't even like the seemingly no brainer fences on our heavy heavies.

It is no secret that the company wants to replace the 744's with 773's. They REFUSE to operate two 777 categories. Hence the reason they will keep the 744's operating until the fences come down. I personally see it as a little hard ball.

Will they come down? Probably not.

Seems like the majority want them down. Given the difference in operational costs it is hard to believe the cost of running two categories would even make much of a difference.

So what did you get?

I got what I bid, probably somewhere near my 25th choice if I were a betting man.

Bar, it gets costly when you would either have to run them in different bases and then get hotel rooms in another base for the premerger crews or to have two categories in in same base because some flights would be on the 300 and some on the 200.
There is a very big cost to operational flexibility to keep em separate.

So what was your 25th choice?

ATL 73N, and or the 88 in ATL as a line holder in the B position. One or the other.

After that it was to MSP and DTW on the Bus
