Chief Pilot said all they have to do is meet the minimums which is a college degree, 1200 total hours, 1000 turbine, 1st class medical, hold a US passport etc. These are the qualifications listed on the company website. That's still a big shortcut given the fact that non-Mesaba/Compass applicants have to have much higher qualifications to be competitive for an interview.

Mmmm free turkey sandwich....

That is the way the NWA LOA's 2006 10 and 12 are set up. This is not surprise.

IMHO, that LOA was written with the intention that the flow-up would never happen. It was written for the more likely flow-down scenario.

Probably but now the guys at CPS and Mesaba get the benefits of it. Good for them.

the mesaba flow started shortly after it was signed, albeit only a few made it in before the music stopped, i dont think it was written with the intention of either way. imho

I want there to be a shortage of pilots that meet Delta standards. That gives us leverage. I feel that letting Compass and Mesaba pilots on board that do not meet the standards costs us leverage. The only standard we have that the regionals don't is the bachelor's degree so that is the one I am referring to.

Guess what?, They need that to flow. They have to meet our MIN standards plus whatever the flow states.

If you fly a leg that turns the clock, IE took off from GRU at 2345 on dec 31st and landed JFK 06240 on the 1 Jan, is the entire leg paid as if it was flown in Dec? Shouldn't some of those hours be credited towards Jan?
