Hey y'all,

The training dept. booked me DTW-ATL-DTW for 606. I'm gonna' drive to Va. Ave. so I don't need the first flight. I do need the ATL-DTW leg however. Should I cancel the DTW-ATL leg and if so, how do I do that so that I don't lose the second leg?

Thanks in advance,

Desperado

Again slow...if this is a conversation about stones, you shouldn't talk about things you know nothing about.

I'm pretty sure you do need to cancel any positive space you don't intend to use.
Call the Jumpseat desk through the VRU. Choose the jumpseat option 3, then choose book positive space travel option 4. They can change or cancel your positive space reservation. You could do it all yourself on travelnet, except I can't figure out how to cancel the reservations they make for you. The phone system can be a pain (jumpseat option to book positive space?!), but I love that we can book our own positive space travel to and from training.

Carl, you just get into it with everyone. I hope to God you are retired by the time I make it to the wide body fleet. Can you PM me your employee number so I can put it as the only number on my DNF list.

That is a little harsh. I'll bet he is one of the guys you look forward to fly with if you actually met him.

First beer is on me Carl...

Thanks Bluto

I'm on permanent hold right now but would NEVER have figured out that PS would be hiding behind the J/S prompt on my own.

I'd like to fly with Slow. I wouldn't tell him who I am and then I'll play the dummy, not hard, and ask a lot of questions. Then Slow would come online that night and see all of his comments posted.

Wow, Saints/Vikings game, what a game. Glad I don't care who wins, I like them both and will feel bad for either.

No. But, a whole lot of us were called in to the chief pilots office for questionable block times, brake release times, and sick calls. No biggie. But, it did get national attention. It did get the President (Bush) to come down on our CEO and tell him to get his act together. It might have even helped our South brothers when they had a fit when US Airways wanted to take over "My Delta," by putting management on notice that unhappy pilots can ruin an airline and thus DAL was not worth the trouble.

I wasn't there for your deal, so I don't want to pretend that that is definately why happened. I was happy that you guys were sucessful though.

But, you weren't there for our deal either and I wonder why you question what it took for us to do what we did when you weren't there. I wonder why you call us thieves when you weren't there? I wonder why you question our integrity, but don't question managements integrity when they declare bankruptcy, freeze our pensions, then suddenly locate $200 million.

I ask that if you are going to call a group a bunch of thieves that you apply the standard equally to all groups. Maybe if you connect the dots you will find that one group was just getting back what was taken from them in the first place....
Man you write way better than I do.

The Super Bowl is going to have a hard time stepping it up to this game. What a barn burner.
