You should be able to be refunded for portions not used. There is a location on travelnet for refunding unused passes. I'm not sure if that works for unused segments as well.

I have not been charged extra once for changing the routing of the pass as long as the destination and departure have remained the same.

I don't mind the information about places to eat or things to do in the area - but saying what hotels we use is just a bad idea.
This site is now password protected and provides alot of information that is very useful to crewmembers. I know someone could hack into it and figure out where we stay, but if someone is going to go to the trouble of hacking into a site to figure out where we stay, they are probably smart enough to figure out where we stay even if this site didn't exist. Wouldn't be too hard to spot a van at the airport picking up a bunch of double breasted hat wearers and follow it to a hotel. I really don't see this as a huge security issue now that it is password protected.

Can someone tell me why the world's biggest airline is afraid of snow. Didn't we just merge with a very northern bunch of guys who fly in this stuff??

I ask because they're once again canceling flights for the NYC area. I can understand ATL, but LGA and JFK - don't they have snow plows etc?????

Passenger Bill of Rights - now cheaper to cancel a flight than risk costly tarmac delays. Be careful what you wish for.

I suspect this is the "law of unintended consequences"....The "Passengers Bill of Rights" has caused proactive cancelling everytime Jim Cantore puts on his parka and goes to an airline hub....Nobody wants another "stuck on the tarmac" horror story to hit the news with the corresponding stupid legislation from DC....I've noticed a huge change this year on this issue...

I'm OK with avoiding the Passenger suits; but can we get at least a day closer to the event. They're canceling things for Wed am and last week they canceled a bunch of flights for snow that never really developed.

I think SWA cancelled all operations last Sunday in BWI. We're not the only ones cancelling flights left and right.

Also, 4 hour taxis to de-ice pads is just not going to happen anymore. Coex guys, remember EWR when a 777 or 764 moved into the ballpark to deice? Yeah, 3-4 hours.

Again BWI and DCA made sense but the NYC airports were only supposed to be peripherally affected. If a day out it looks like we're going to get schwacked, then cancel to your heart's content but two days out??

That I do not know. I guess they're being proactive. As everyone says its probably due to the fear of long taxis or crew timeouts.
