While I'm looking at pictures... topic for discussion tonight:
For our Auburn and Alabama grads, is this standard dress code for friday nights? Or is this reserved for a truly special time out on the town? http://media.peopleofwalmart.com/wp-...10/02/1008.jpg He is probably getting a Diet Coke to. I'll have the triple cheeseburger, biggie Fries, a large frosty, oh and a DIET Coke |

Obviously this is one of War Chicken's offensive linemen fufiling his academic requirements. After a hard day of shoveling cow poop and cavorting with sheep, he says to himself, "I sure could use a coke, but d'em Walmart ones are only $.25!":D |
Uh no. Thats an Alabama fan, here is why:
http://blog.syracuse.com/orangefootb...AlabamaFan.jpg Backhanded compliment time: the honest truth Satch, in my time and experience with Alabama students and alumni I've always gotten a bit of a Ole Miss style vibe. Auburn's students and alumni got more of a big city suburbs vibe. Neither would look like that. But when it comes to fans Alabama has a lot more fans that have never touched the campus outside of a football saturday than Auburn does and a good number of them fit that mold. I've been to Alabama games, I've seen it. :D But I think that has a lot to do with being "the" school in the state as when I lived in TN I saw a lot of Vols fans that fit that picture and UGA fans can be like that too. The actual students and alumnus, not so much. The Auburns, Vanderbilts and GaTech fans usually either went to the school, know someone who does or who are cheering against someone they don't like. |

That is not true. They will price themselves out of the market.
In fact, they are about to change the game completely for data...law of unintended consequences, in that, the iPad will be available for a $30usd/mo unlimited data plan and no contract. That no contract thing is a big deal, particularly because consumer pressure has made them turn on access to apps like Fring and Skype over the 3G network. At&t sees the apple universe as such a valuable carrot, that they are willing to spend billions in upgrading the 3G/4G networks as they can and dealing with the bad press/ customer service hell as they SLOWLY upgrade it. /// can we talk about if we are hiring more people now??? AT&T considers incentives to curb heavy data usage | Signal Strength - CNET News I know you guys love your iPhones, it's a great product. But make no mistake, AT&T had no idea how successful it would become, more importantly, how much bandwidth they'd use. Because of that, their signal, call, and bandwidth reliability is suffering signifcantly. Their 3G network is woefully lacking coverage. As they struggle to implement more 3G coverage, other carriers have developed and are in the process of building newer, faster, and more capable 4G networks. My stupid Razor phone 4 years ago could send video and pictures in MMS without going to external sites to download. The iPhone / AT&T recently just got that with the latest version of the iPhone. They are behind on their network and everybody knows it. But I know, Apple is God and everything they do is golden. Remember when Microsoft helped bail them out and extended a financial lifeline? How ironic. They love this closed source crap for their products. Just imagine how many iPhone users there would be if you could buy legally and use on other networks? So with RAH purchasing 80 C-Series, isn't it about @#%)(@#*$ time Delta parks outsourced carriers so as to stop funding the creation of a major competitor?
Just saying. It's getting pretty old with RAH. |

Just saying. It's getting pretty old with RAH. FROM BOMBARDIER in regards to OUR SCOPE and JOB PROTECTIONS http://www.bombardier.com/files/en/supporting_docs/BCA_2009_Market_Forecast.pdf While the rate of capacity reductions is expected to slow, US mainline carriers will continue to remove older aircraft from their fleets. Scope clauses will be challenged as mainline carriers continue to look for more optimization opportunities through regional carrier outsourcing. An important component of mainline carrier crew labour agreements are scope clauses. These negotiated clauses define restrictions on the type, number and size of aircraft that may be flown by regional airline partners. Scope clauses are found in both the US and Europe, but are most restrictive in the US. Historically, scope clauses have been a barrier to outsourcing. However, scope clauses are considerably less restrictive than they were historically, and are permitting regional carriers to fly more and larger regional aircraft. It is predicted that over the next 20 years, scopes clauses will evolve, permitting 100-seat aircraft to be flown by regional carriers, and play a central role in reshaping the makeup of the industry. The mix of the deliveries, 5,800 turboprops and jets in total, will be strongly influenced by mainline carrier scope clauses as they evolve to permit improved network capacity optimization. On a cost basis, regional airlines operating large regional aircraft have proven to be very competitive even compared to LFCs flying larger narrow body aircraft. (LFC = Low Fare Carrier = Southwest) |
fwiw, now that Bombardier has gotten the big order it was really wanting and needing then I have been reading you can expect to see what Airbus and Embraer do in response, A320 upgrade and E195X, and Boeing 737... bigger nose strut for more round engines.
