Have you seen Iron Man 2 yet? Just wondering if it was as good as the first one. I'm asking just because of the avatar.

I'm not Ferd, but I saw Ironman 2 and really liked it. It was as good as 1. I am easily amused though. :D

For you iphone users: AT&T is replacing the unlimited data usage for iphones with two new data plans, starting June 7, with limits on data consumption.

Subscribers who use little data or learn to limit their consumption will pay slightly less every month than they do now, while heavy users will be dinged with extra consumption fees. One new plan will cost $25 per month and offer 2 gigabytes of data per month, which AT&T says will be enough for 98 percent of its smart phone customers. Additional gigabytes will cost $10 each.

We can't pay workers in NYC what we pay in ATL but if they're not performing, there is a lack of leadership from management. This goes for the do nothing gate agents in ATL as well. MGMT needs to get out from behind their desks and supervise and if that means some terminations on the spot for violations, then so be it.

We can't run a service business without service.

The problem with the unemployment rate is that it's inaccurate. Not too small, but not indicative of jobs available. Many, many citizens in our country have become too picky, & are unwilling to take jobs that are available. They'd rather just ride unemployment.

LOL.

"The Delta transaction with UAL was born of the same strategy as the Delta buyout of NWA"

Looks like we are merging with UAL now  Morons!!

Apropos of nothing, but who's excited for the WORLD CUP next week?

Keeley Hazell could make me root for England if she showed up wearing that.

Soccer was a game invented by moms who didn't want their kids getting hurt. "Don't touch anyone sweetie! Don't touch that dirty ball!".

Seriously. 90 minutes of running and the score is 1-0. Ripping good show, I tell ya!

Yeah, a fun movie. Acting was not a strong point, and I think the best character portrayal was done by Mickey Rourke.

I worked ramp for 5 years and know first hand what it entails. I worked with people that were motivated to get the job done. We were short plenty of times but managed. Does DAL run a lean machine on the ramp? Absolutely and that could change to help things out, but it doesn't change the simple fact that you hire people that are willing and able to do the job they are hired to do.
There are good guys and gals working the ramp in many stations through out the system, no doubt. It is the few lazy sour apples that drag the rest down. These are the ones that we need to let go, and hire as I said above.

Every pilot who interviews and accepts a job understands what's entailed. We're no different from prospective ramp employees in that regard. Yet how many guys complain on these boards about their QOL or schedules. I agree with you, but reality once you're hired is different than when you're on the outside looking for a job.
