Definition of "Ignorant". Tell you what, stay away from watching Soccer and let the rest of the world enjoy the beautiful game. Because of course, the billions of people who watch it and play all around the world must have it wrong....and we Americans of course have it right:rolleyes:
Keep enjoying NASCAR, and Football with 6'5" freaks of nature crush each other with pads. And as much as people here think football players are real athletes, hate to break it to you guys, just because someone is huge with ripped muscles it doesnt make them a great athlete. They take breaks every 15 seconds. Soccer players run 8 miles a game.....
Like I said, keep enjoying your NASCAR, Football, and ever so exciting golf.

But I'm not a fan of the rest of the world, so I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not.

I love it when Europeans make a big deal out of the violence of "American Football".

They get quite irate when I point out that there MUCH more violence in in thier version.

Except in their case, all the violence is in the stands. I don't think I ever saw a NFL game where the riot police had to be called out to quell the the mass rioting with water cannons and tear gas, let alone people killed by other "fans".

According to Dick's, American football shoulder pads are about $150-$300, cups are $15-$25 or $50 if your FTB, pants are $50-$80, hip and tail pads $15-$25 (does anyone wear these anymore, neon deon sanders look?), knee pads about $15, ultra cool neck rolls about $50-$70, helmets $80-$170, footballs $10-$90 depending on what you need, field goal post $7,400.

Soccer ball, $50-$150. New world cup ball, kind of ugly but I get it. You can play soccer with the toy ball I bought at the grocery store, $4.99.

It is some game. And I'm happy to hear ignorant people who know nothing about it like yourself will continue to stay away from it and not diminish from the game. Some athletes football players have huh? 350 pound fatties (Snapshot of America) pushing each other and resting more than they play. Wow.....beautiful game that is.
And I've never understood the whole "World Champion" title Americans give their MLB, NFL, and NBA champions. Ummm, they are NOT "World Champions"... they are National champions.

Yup, but if you are watching TV, you can save some money on Tylenol PM or Sominex by turning to ESPN 8 (The Ocho!) during some soccer game in Lower Absurdistan versus Nowhereingyue and you'll be alseep in no time at all. Works almost as well as reading the FOM.

I mean, seriously, the Roller Derby is much more fun. Women in skates wrestling around a track versus dudes running in a big green field kicking a ball. Um...decisions, decisions....
